Judith Barsi was born in Los Angeles, California to two immigrants who had fled the 1956 Soviet occupation of Hungary. Her mother dreamed of her daughter becoming a successful Hollywood actress. It soon became a reality as Barsi was a bit small for her age and had the advantage of being able to play roles of younger children. This helped propel her career and she soon became a television staple. She starred in over 70 commercials during the 80’s. She often worked with Lays chips and Biz Bleach detergent. She also appeared in numerous television shows and movies. Barsi is probably most famous for lending her voice for the character of Ducky in the film The Land Before Time. She also played Anne-Marie in the animated classic All Dogs Go To Heaven. As Judith became more famous her father gained a deep sense of manic jealously and paranoia towards her. He was mentally and physically abusive throughout her lifetime. On July 27, 1988, Jozsef Barsi took a gun and murdered Judith and her mother. He then dosed the bodies, himself, and the house with gasoline and started a fire. Judith’s grave stone reads “Our Concrete Angel – Yep Yep Yep,” referring to her character Ducky’s catch phrase.
The Aftermath of Ted Bundy
- Time finally ran out for Bundy on 24 January 1989. His final appeal had been turned down, and the date set for his execution. He tried to bargain for his life by offering confessions in exchange for a reprieve.
- The attempt to ‘trade over the victims bodies’ caused violent hostility among the law officers. The confessions hardly created sympathy. He told how Georgann Hawkins had offered to help him carry his briefcase when he was walking on crutches, and how, as she bent to put it down, he picked up an iron bar from the ground, knocked her unconscious and bundled her into the car.
- At 7 a.m. on 24 January 1989, Bundy was led into the execution chamber at Starke Prison, Florida. Behind a plexiglass wall, an invited audience of 48 people were waiting to witness his death. Bundy’s head had already been shaved. As his arms were strapped to the electric chair, he recognized his attorney among the watching faces and nodded. Straps were placed around his chest and over his mouth, and a steel cap fastened on to his head with screws.
- At 7.07 a.m. the executioner (rumoured to be a female) threw the switch, and Bundy’s body strained upwards in the chair. A minute later, the current was switched off, and Bundy was pronounced dead. Outside a crowd carrying ‘Fry Bundy’ banners cheered as the execution was announced.
I would like to read to you what The Jesus said about homosexuality. I’d like to but he never said anything about it. Evidently Jesus was so filled with rage that he was speechless. I am confident he condemned it all the time in private, when he was hanging out with those other 12 dudes at their elaborate dinner parties, where they all sat on the same side of the table, just living the bachelor life together, drinking wine and working on their washboard abs.
